Oil production is most commonly reported in barrels per day (bbl/d, BPD or BOPD). Pumps and surface equipment, though, are often rated in gallons per minute (gpm) or cubic meters per day. Use this tool to move between them.
Because one barrel is 42 gallons and a day is 1,440 minutes, 1 bbl/d equals 42 ÷ 1,440 = 0.0292 gpm. To convert bbl/d to m³/d, multiply by 0.158987.
