Temperature in oil & gas

Temperature matters throughout the oilfield — from the 60°F (15.56°C) reference used for API gravity and custody measurement, to bottomhole temperatures that can exceed 350°F in deep HPHT wells like the Haynesville or deepwater Gulf.

Use °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9 to go from Fahrenheit to Celsius, and add 273.15 to Celsius for Kelvin. Edit any box above and the others convert instantly.
